PROGRAM
Proposal for a 3-day outdoor crag climbing event, aimed at those who already have the basics of climbing and who want to learn and improve their approach to climbing on their own, moving as a leader, placing protections (quickdraws) and assessing routes and difficulties.
Topics covered:
- Climbing technique on vertical terrain
- Climbing technique on overhanging terrain
- Insurance to the first of the roped party
- Climbing as a lead climber
- Using blockers and brakes
- Placement of protections (referrals)
- Chain maneuvering (stopping)
- Drop tests
- Evidence of withholding
Course held over 3 days, one day per weekend, starting in late May.

At least 4 participants x course
Meet at Cortina360 at 8:45 a.m. Saturday to meet and depart for the crag.
Next Saturday, 8:45 a.m. Meet at Cortina360 for departure.
