Via I Love My Dogs at Lastoi de Formin

Route opened on Spiz de Mondeval by Mario Dibona Moro with Gretchen Alexander.

Characteristics of the route:

Exhilarating route in a magical sunny and quiet environment. The route is highly satisfying, on sustained grades and excellent rock.
It presents 6c+ max - obligatory passages of 6b+.
The route is equipped with fixes and some pitons excellently.

Equipment:

15 quickdraws, lanyards and webbing, friends.

Directions:

Mountain group: Lastoi de Formin.
Spiz de Mondeval
Slope: South.

Approach: about 1 hour.
From the Giau Pass take the south-east path leading to the Giau pass, which is well marked. Arriving at the fork by trail traces and cairns you take the center of the great south face of the Spiz de Mondeval. At the attack is the inscription I Love My Dogs.

Descent: about 2.30 hours.
From the summit northward descend until you glimpse a gully on the right with red markings indicating rappels (4 rappels of 25 meters). After finishing the rappels by skirting the wall, return to the route's attack in about 1.30 hours.
